What to expect on Sundays...
As a junior high student, we are excited that you are considering to attend our Junior High Ministry. On a Sunday morning, we have two junior high classes that meet during worship services (9:45 & 11:00). Both classes meet in Room 10 (click here for map), the junior high student's room. Our classes have around 15-20 students ranging from 6th to 8th grade. We have several middle schools represented from our area (DeKalb, Garrett, Leo, Eastside,
We encourage both parents and students to attend at least one of the worship services with their parents. We believe it is vital for students to feel a part of the larger church family, not just an attender of the junior high ministry. We know that it can be intimidating walking into a place where you may not know anyone, so our goal is that each student will feel welcomed and get connected.
What to expect on Wednesday nights...
On Wednesday nights, our student ministry focuses on small groups. The jr high ministry has a great night filled with a hang out time, games, worship, and a small group discussion Bible study. We meet from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. The guys and girls are split up into groups of 6-8, and are led by a caring adult leader. They discuss relevant issues and themes to a jr high student and then look at them from God’s perspective. We also encourage the students to pray for one another in their groups. Our hope is that students can build relationship with each other and be able to experience the kind of Christian community that God desires for us. Come and check us out on Wednesdays!
