What to expect on Sundays...
As a junior high student, we are excited that you are considering attending our Junior High Ministry. On Sunday morning, we have a Journey Class (Sunday School Class) during our 11:00 service. This class meets in the Junior High Room #5 near the coffee house, Restoration Cafe.
Our classes are very practical and biblical. The class includes students from 7th to 8th grade. We have several middle schools represented from our area (Dekalb, Garrett, Leo, Eastside, Lakewood Park, Homeschoolers, and several others). The purpose of this class is to help students meet other students and discover Gods truth for their lives.
We encourage students to attend at least one of the Worship Services with their parents. We believe it is vital for students to feel a part of the larger church family, not just an attender of the Junior High Ministry. We know that it can be intimidating walking into a place where you may not know anyone, so our goal is that each student will feel welcomed and get connected.
What to Expect on Wednesday Nights...
Come and check out our Wednesday nights! It's a great night of hanging out with friends, engaging worship, relevant teaching, and encouraging small groups. We all meet together for worship and teaching before we split into our H.O.T. groups (Honest. Open. Trustworthy.) Each group has 8+ students in it and are led by caring adult leaders. The groups are also split up according to grade and gender.
We believe in small groups so much that our H.O.T. groups are the core ministry for CLSM. It's a safe opportunity for students to get connected to other students, to deepen their faith in Jesus, and to have the opportunity to share any issues they may struggle with.
