In Indiana, and 34 other states, Kindergarten is optional, it is not mandatory.
This program is designed to offer parents an alternative to a full-day Kindergarten.
It will be developmentally appropriate for 5 & 6 year olds with a short day, excellent adult/child ratio and engaging, creative curriculum.
A child that completes this program should have the reading, writing and math skills needed to be ready to enter 1st Grade the next fall.
There will be no time spent preparing or taking standardized testing.
There will be parent/teacher conferences in the fall and spring.
The lead teacher, Kathie Kruse, is Indiana licensed and has several years of experience teaching both First Grade and Kindergarten.
This Kindergarten program will be under the administration of Creative Play School and County Line Church of God.
