OUR PRESCHOOL CLASSES
Please come to the Kids Check-In Center on your first visit. We will collect helpful information and get your cell number so we can stay in touch. You will be given name tags and a coded pick up slip. Preschoolers are divided in groups by their age on August 1st. They rotate between centers for craft, snack, Bible time, social play. After service they may be picked up in their original drop off room. Please present your coded slip to each group leader for their dismissal.
Thursday Nights – 7:15pm
Sunday Mornings – 9:30 and 11:00am
Children are placed in groups according to their age on August 1st. They will stay in this class until June when everyone is promoted to the next group. Children who will be delayed in starting Kindergarten should stay in the PreK Yellow Class for 4 and 5 year olds.
- PreK Purple- 2 years old on August 1st
- PreK Blue- 3 years old on August 1st
- PreK Yellow- 4 years or older on August 1st
These groups rotate through three exciting stations: Worship and Bible Time in the Clubhouse, Big Muscle Play time at our outdoor or indoor play areas, and Snack* and Craft Time. During these activities we will introduce your children to three main biblical truths:
1. GOD LOVES ME
2. GOD MADE ME
3. JESUS WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND FOREVER
*Please be sure to list food allergies or any health concerns on their name tags and verbally inform group leaders. Snack for the day is posted at each room. Please bring your own snacks for children with significant dietary restrictions.
“What happens at home is more important than what happens at church.”
We know that PARENTS are the leaders in a child’s faith development. We are here to partner with you. Each month our preschoolers bring home a placemat with their memory project, weekly lessons and faith-at-home activity ideas for families.
Special events are held throughout the year to help preschool families connect to each other. These include a fall fair, daddy’s night, Christmas program, winter reading club spring literacy fair, etc. Diane Smith coordinates our ministry to preschoolers and their families. She can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
One of the best ways to get involved in your child’s faith development is to share their experience on Sunday mornings. Parents are encouraged to volunteer with our preschool ministry. Whether you visit occasionally or serve on monthly rotation, we would love to have you join us. Please contact Diane Smith or see our volunteer page for more information.
