Our
values
"Teach these words of mine to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up." - Deuteronomy 11:19
Faith Development Project
We knowt that parents and grandparents have the main responsibility for their child's faith development. If we want to be effective in nurturing that, we have to have some measurable goals. We have designed our own County Line grade-level guidelines for faith development. These include suggested skills and goals for children in the areas of:
- Bible understanding
- Character traits
- Memory work
- Personal spiritual disciplines
- Community life
- Missions
Each fall children in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are given individual Faith Development Skill Cards for their grade level. These are for families to use at home. These cards are available for pick up year 'round at the Kids Check In Center. Our age group classes and kids' worship experiences reinforce many of the skills suggested in the cards.
We give monthly email updates on our themes, lessons and memory work. We also offer parenting classes and family events throughout the year to encourage parents as they raise their children in the faith.
