“Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:3 & 4
At County Line we throw a huge party every August for our annual baptism service. Baptism is a public proclamation of faith in Christ and symbolic of the inward change someone has experienced by submitting their life to Jesus as Lord. As the passage above references, baptism mimics the death and resurrection of Jesus as we symbolize the burying of the old life, by being immersed into the water, and symbolize the new life in Christ by being brought up out of the water. Baptism is an important spiritual milestone and act of obedience in our journey with Jesus. If you have any questions about baptism, please contact one of our pastors or email Sheila Stetzel.
